A starlight headliner costs between £200 and £480 fitted at our Sunderland unit, depending on how many fibres go into the roof. 250 fibres is £200, 1000 fibres is £480, and every size is app and remote controlled with twinkle mode.
What a starlight headliner is
A starlight headliner is a field of fibre optic strands fitted through the roof lining of a car, lit from a small illuminator tucked out of sight. Each strand carries light to a pinprick in the headliner, so the roof reads as a night sky rather than a lit panel.
Because the light travels down the fibre rather than sitting behind it, the points stay sharp and the roof itself stays dark. That is what separates a fibre optic headliner from an LED panel, and it is why the fibre count matters more than the brightness.
What a starlight headliner costs
We fit four sizes, priced by how many fibres go into the roof. A 250 fibre install is £200 and a 1000 fibre install is £480. Every size includes the same control: app and remote, twinkle mode, and millions of colours.
Prices are for the install at our Sunderland unit and are the same whichever car it goes into.

How to choose a fibre count
The fibre count sets how dense the star field looks, not how bright it is. All four sizes use the same illuminator and the same controls, so the decision is about the look you want rather than the features you get.
250 fibres give a scattered sky with clear space between points. 1000 fill the headliner so the roof reads as one continuous field. 500 and 600 sit between the two, and are the sizes most people land on when they want it obvious without it being the loudest thing in the car.

Which cars can have one fitted
Almost any. We have not yet come across a car we could not fit a starlight headliner into, across the makes and models that have come through the unit.
Roof shape and headliner material do vary between cars, so it is worth confirming before you book. Message us your make, model and year and we will check it rather than have you find out on the day.
What you can control
Every install is controlled from your phone and from a remote, so you are not tied to one or the other. Colours run to millions of options, and twinkle mode animates the points rather than holding them steady.
The controls are the same across all four fibre counts. Paying more buys a denser sky, not extra features.
How booking works
Message us on WhatsApp or call 07448 045118 with your car and the size you are after. We will confirm the fit and arrange a date.
A £50 deposit secures the slot, or £100 if you are having ambient lighting fitted at the same time. The deposit comes off the balance on the day and the rest is payable once the work is finished. If you need to move the booking, let us know at least 24 hours ahead.
All work is done at our unit on Hendon Valley Road, Sunderland SR2 8BQ. We are open 9am to 4pm Sunday to Thursday, closed Friday, and 10am to 3pm Saturday.
